I've gone camping in the desert and in Omani beaches, but for some reason, the Hajar Mountain chain and me have only been day-tripping aquaintences. My husband grew up camping here and really wants me to experience it.
#1 I really want to buy an Omani handwoven carpet. #2 I just love camping and the mountains are way cooler than the deserts for camping in the summer and all our long holidays end up in the Summer. The one thing I don't like is rocky camping, so we'd have to glam it up by bringing real mattresses. I am not a cot kind of girl. I can sleep on the ground, but not on sharp rocks, is all.
