MY OWN PHOTOS: the somewhat 'areesh'-like shade in Nizwa fort

I've always wanted one of these. Imagine, sitting, drinking mint tea in the shade on a sunny day, or serving Omani coffee, fresh fruit, and almonds to guests out here rather than inside in the evenings. They are called 'areesh' palm-frond structures for shade and living. Not overly complicated to build, beyond getting hold of the thicker wood pieces, I've always thought to construct one. Nails, hammer, rope, small axe, and laying a nice flagstone floor (okay, that is a bit more complicated, but my father knows how and he could tell me what to do).Anyways, it is a nice thought for a to-do project that I will likely not have time for, for at least two years...
