Bettysville was the nearest beach to Ballymote, if we could trust the GPS. It was still a long drive. And freezing cold outside. We couldn't take the weather and shortly got back into the car. But I could totally see taking a family here on a sunnier day.
So we came to Drogheda, cold, wet, but much less windy. We took a walk and found a couple halal eating options. Since schwarma wasn't my thing, Aisha's Cafe and Bistro on the water would be my recommendation. But on the main street, near the clock tower, there was a schwarma joint.
I really enjoyed the Georgian doorways in Drogheda.
After walking up, across, and then down Drogheda, we were pretty cold and went back to the car for a long drive back to Ballymote to warm up.
